LEARNING PATH: Azure Security

Introduction to Azure

Managing workloads in an on-premise environment has always been a time-consuming process. However, choosing the right service provider could go a long way in ensuring that your workload is well-balanced without being too resource intensive.

Microsoft Azure is a cloud service provider that offers various cloud services like Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS), and more for all manner of cloud computing needs.

This beginner’s course is an introduction to Azure and its multitude of service and features, including its various security services.

When leveraging these technologies, a crucial component that can’t be ignored is the responsibility shared between the Cloud Provider and Cloud Consumer. That’s why we’ll also be discussing the Shared Responsibility Model in-depth to understand what you are responsible for in case of a breach.

To better understand the full range of services, we’ll set up an Azure (free) account as well as the command-line interface (CLI) and get hands-on experience using the platform. These hands-on exercises will be invaluable when you’re working on real-world implementations of Azure.
